Please read these terms carefully before making a booking, as they contain vital information regarding liability, cancellation fees, and payment disputes.
Acceptance: Submitting a booking form or calling our dispatch team constitutes an offer to rent a vehicle. A contract is formed only when you receive a unique Booking ID and confirmation message from us.
Contact Details: You must provide accurate mobile numbers and email addresses. DehradunTaxiService.com is not responsible for missed connections due to incorrect customer data.
Third-Party Bookings: If you book a cab for someone else (e.g., family or guests), you are fully liable for the fare and any damages caused by that third party.
Pricing Structure: Fares are calculated based on the distance traveled (kilometers) and time spent (hours), adhering to the standard "Dehradun Taxi Union" guidelines or as displayed on our fare card. All prices are subject to 5% GST (Goods and Services Tax) as applicable under Indian law.
Outstation Rates: For outstation trips (e.g., Dehradun to Delhi or Chandigarh), the fare is calculated on a "per kilometer" basis with a minimum guaranteed distance of 250km to 300km per day (varies by vehicle type). Driver allowances (food and lodging) are included in the quoted outstation price unless specified otherwise.
Toll and Parking: Toll taxes, interstate permit taxes, and parking fees are not included in the displayed fare unless explicitly stated. These are payable as actuals by the customer either directly or added to the final bill.
Waiting Charges:
Local Trips: A waiting charge of ₹2 to ₹3 per minute (approx. ₹120-₹180 per hour) applies after the initial 15 minutes of free waiting time at the pickup point.
Outstation: Free waiting time is 30 minutes for airport pickups and 15 minutes for railway station/hotel pickups.
Payment Methods: We accept Cash, UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe), Credit/Debit Cards, and Net Banking. For high-value outstation trips, a 50% advance payment may be required to secure the vehicle .
At DehradunTaxiService.com, we understand that plans change. However, last-minute cancellations block other passengers and waste driver fuel resources. Hence, the following fees apply:
Free Cancellation: Cancellations made 12 hours or more before the scheduled pickup time are free of charge.
Late Cancellation (50% Charge): Cancellations made between 2 hours to 12 hours before pickup will incur a fee equal to 50% of the base fare.
Last-Minute Cancellation (100% Charge): Cancellations made less than 2 hours before the pickup time will be charged the full base fare. The driver has already left the depot to reach you.
No-Show Policy: If you fail to show up at the pickup location within 30 minutes of the scheduled time without notifying us, the booking is marked "No-Show," and no refund is issued. The full amount (if prepaid) is forfeited .
Driver Cancellation: If a driver cancels due to a vehicle breakdown or emergency, we will attempt to provide an alternate cab. If no alternate is found, you receive a 100% refund, but DehradunTaxiService.com is not liable for consequential losses (missed flights, meetings, etc.).
Refund Policy
Processing Time: Approved refunds are processed within 3 to 7 working days. The time it takes for the money to appear in your account depends on your bank’s policies.
Disputes: If you dispute a charge, you must notify us within 7 days of the trip date. Failure to do so constitutes a waiver of the right to dispute the charge.
Customer Responsibilities and Conduct
Pickup Punctuality: The driver will wait at the designated pickup point. It is the customer's responsibility to be ready. "I was brushing my teeth" is not a valid reason to waive waiting charges.
Seat Belt Laws: Seat belts are mandatory for front-seat passengers under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. You agree to wear them.
No Smoking/Alcohol: Smoking and consumption of alcohol are strictly prohibited inside the vehicle. A cleaning fee of ₹1,000 will be levied if the vehicle is dirtied by vomit or tobacco stains.
Illegal Activities: The vehicle will not be used for any illegal purpose. The driver has the right to terminate the ride immediately and report the passenger to the Dehradun Police if illegal acts are suspected.
Luggage and Personal Belongings
Carriage Limit: Standard sedans (Dzire/Etios) carry a maximum of 2-3 medium suitcases and 2 small bags. SUVs (Innova/Ertiga) carry more. You are responsible for loading/unloading your own luggage unless the driver offers assistance.
Liability: DehradunTaxiService.com and the driver are not responsible for valuables (laptops, wallets, jewelry, passports) left in the vehicle. Check the back seat before exiting. If you leave something behind, call us immediately; we will attempt recovery, but we charge a ₹200 service fee for returning lost items (plus courier charges).
Damage: If your luggage damages the vehicle's interior (e.g., ripped seats, broken glass), you are liable for the repair cost.
